MG Motor marks flagship showroom opening in Saudi Arabia with launch of the MG ZS 2017.11.21

MG Motor has opened its flagship showroom in Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with its retail partner Taajeer Group, allowing the famous British car brand to bring its new model line up to its Saudi customer base. To mark the opening of the showroom in Jeddah, and MG Motors’ return to the Kingdom, the brand unveiled its new stylish MG ZS at a special ceremony held on 20th November.


The ceremony was hosted by Mr. Matt Lei, Vice General Manager of International Business Department of SAIC Motor, and Taajeer Group Chairman, Dr. Saleh Jameel Malaikah. They were joined by Mr. An Wa’er, Consulate-General of China in Jeddah; Mr. Tom Lee, Managing Director SAIC Motor Middle East; Taajeer Group Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Omer Mohammed Hind, and COO Eng. Hazm Sami Jamjoom. The new showroom, which is located on Madina Road in Jeddah is 2000 sqm and will accommodate the best-selling models as MG360, the MG GS and the MG ZS. It emphasis the customer-centric operating philosophy and establish a good reputation in the customer service, service quality and after-sales, which has laid a solid foundation for the marketing development in the future.




The launch of the MG ZS in the KSA marks an exciting new era of design for the iconic brand, representing a major change and commitment to a new design philosophy. Based on ‘Emotional Dynamism’, the MG ZS embodies a more expressive design language that emphasizes the premium experience and commitment to quality of the ambitious brand. Commitment to design excellence is continued in the interior of the MG ZS, with touches that nod to a dynamic and exclusive space for the driver, while being accessible and user-friendly for any passengers. The interior features soft materials with a colour contrast from the dark grey base to create a layered effect. A trend for ‘bigger’ connectivity means 8” infotainment screens will become a signature of MG going forward, as it looks to target a younger generation.


At the same time as the launch of the MG flagship in Saudi Arabia and the launch of the new MG ZS in the Middle East, the overseas brand video "Hi" of MG would also be launched in the region. "Hi, Arabia", "Hi, Saudi", "Hi, guys" , MG is in every scene of life around you.


Speaking at the showroom opening, Taajeer Group Chairman, Dr. Saleh Jameel Malaikah said: “While MG is already a familiar brand name in Saudi Arabia, the re-launch of MG in the region will introduce the Saudi market to a fresh new line up. Saudi Arabia is the largest automotive market in the Middle East, the cooperation with Taajeer Group is the first and the most important step toward exploiting the Saudi market.
